Creswell, J. W. (2013). Research design: Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage.

Category:  Research Methods

Summary:

The author's explaination was straightforward and accurate. "This book advance[d] a framework, a process and compositional approaches for designing qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research in the human and social sciences" (Cresswell, 2013, p. xix). Cresswell succeeds in his endeavor with amazing clarity. Any potential researcher could benefit from the precise definitions, processes, outlines, and suggestions he provided.

Author's note: I am omitting the "Citation-worthy" section in this post because this book would be of better use on a bookshelf than summarized on a blog. It is more a reference manual than scholastic, theoretical work. I highly suggest purchasing it if you are looking for "how-to" research. Trying to put the most helpful quotations down would copy a majority of the text.
